Pynchon Watches Debuts with the Negotium Collection

Several months ago, I found out about Pynchon Watches on Twitter. At this time I was quite impressed by the pictures posted, and even more because they wanted to start a new adventure with some really special watches.

Today they make their debuts in the watch industry with the Negotium Collection. The company has started a Pre-Order campaign on www.pynchon.co.uk to fund the production of the collection but also to fund the next collections, which are really interesting.

The watch is using the quartz movement 706B Ronda calibre. Sure yes, I’m not a fan of quartz watches but but this one is interesting because it offers a lot of functionalities. And that makes the whole difference.

Indeed, on the Negotium watch you will find the days, date, moon date, weeks, months, season changes, and moon phase complication.

I honestly like this idea and all the informations are easy to read. Months are on the top bezel, weeks of the year are on a small inner bezel that curves downwards towards the center dial. It’s at this intersection that we will find the indication of the season’s change.

Then the triangle-shaped indexes bring us to the center of the dial and in the direction of the other information that we are more used to see.

Everything is very airy and gives the opportunity to take advantage of the entire calendar.

The whole is in a stainless steel 316L case that measures 41.5mm in diameter and has a thickness 12.45mm, including the double domed sapphire crystal. At 3 o’clock there’s the crown on which is engraved the P of Pynchon and of course above and below we will find the other pushhers used the set all the other informations.

The watch is available in blue, black and white dial along with steel and rose gold PVD options.

For the pre-order period which ends on April 30th, 2021 you can get the steel models for £289 (approx. $400), and the gold-tone one for £299 (approx $413), shipping included; VAT and customs will be extra.

Well even if it’s a quartz watch I honestly like it and I can’t wait to see the other watches that will come in the next months.
