Willis and Judd goes almost full carbon

News
You probably heard about their first collection that they launched in October 2016. For this one they used carbon fiber for the dial and a quartz movement. You can read more about it on Watchisthis?! by clicking just right here. Today and after a successful first Kickstarter campaign, they are back with the launch of a new watch. As for their first piece they decided to use carbon as the center piece of this product.   This time it’s not the dial that uses this material but the case. Neonos Holland//01: Forged Carbon From Ireland

Neonos Holland//01: Forged Carbon From Ireland

Uncategorized
Let's first clear something up: it might seems very strange as an Irish brand to name your watch "Holland//01". However, this has nothing to do with the country that sometimes goes by the same name, but refers to John Philip Holland (1841 - 1914) a brilliant, Irish engineer that without any modesty can be seen as the "father of the modern submarine.". Tempest Carbon2: Forged Carbon Perfection

News
Kickstarter is picking up speed again with some pretty impressive watches, and one of them is the Tempest Carbon2, the brands second watch crafted from forged carbon. An impressive accomplishment, especially from a microbrand like Tempest, and even more so given the quality of the watch. Saying that a watch is perfect goes very far, but given what Tempest presents with the Carbon2, it comes close, very close. Of course there are not many watches available in forged carbon, especially not at this price level, but Tempest doesn't cut any corners to get there. The case is shaped like a dome, and topped of with a domed Sapphire Crystal. To avoid distortion and reflections Tempest fitted it also with an inner Anti-Reflection Coating, double domed for reduced distortion. The forged…

With forged carbon, slowly but surely entering the affordable watch scene, it is now time for Helson to use it for their Shark Diver 45. As the name indicates, does the Shark Diver have a diameter of 45mm. Combine this with a height of 18mm, and you know that you have a substantial watch in our hands. However, by crafting the case and bezel from forged carbon, and the case back out of titanium with a DLC coating, and fit it with a rubber strap, the total weight is only 138 grams. That makes you Seamaster Professional…
