You probably heard about their first collection that they launched in October 2016. For this one they used carbon fiber for the dial and a quartz movement. Let's first clear something up: it might seems very strange as an Irish brand to name your watch "Holland//01". However, this has nothing to do with the country that sometimes goes by the same name, but refers to John Philip Holland (1841 - 1914) a brilliant, Irish engineer that without any modesty can be seen as the "father of the modern submarine.". This all makes it a bit more logical why Neonos choose him to name their first watch after. Kickstarter is picking up speed again with some pretty impressive watches, and one of them is the Tempest Carbon2, the brands second watch crafted from forged carbon. An impressive accomplishment, especially from a microbrand like Tempest, and even more so given the quality of the watch. Saying that a watch is perfect goes very far, but given what Tempest presents with the Carbon2, it comes close, very close. Of course there are not many watches available in forged carbon, especially not at this price level, but Tempest doesn't cut any corners to get there. With forged carbon, slowly but surely entering the affordable watch scene, it is now time for Helson to use it for their Shark Diver 45.
