Interview Arnaud Pézeron – Founder of SYE Watches

Interview
We love to see new projects and new brands emerge. And that's why we wanted to know more about SYE (Start Your Engine) Watches. You will find all the details of this project in this interview with Mr. Arnaud Pézeron who is the Co-Founder of this new brand. Could you tell us a bit about you and about your story with watches? It’s a long story ;) but to make it short let’s say I’ve always been fascinated by the beautiful object on the wrist. And for me things became serious 20 years ago when visiting a flea market I found myself at a sudden stand still in front of the Spaceman watch from Andre Le Marquand. In a few words this watch changed my life because everything snowballed from…

Feynman Timekeepers – One Eclipse

Feynman Timekeepers – One Eclipse

News
To start the year I had the pleasure to try the new Feynman One Eclipse, and guys, this is something you should add in your collection.Oh yes, this is not a sponsored post, but just my own thoughts. For the recall, Feynman Timekeepers was founded in Singapore by Yong Keong Lim who decided to name his brand after his son name, Feynman Lin, who was himself named like this as a homage to Richard Feynman, the father of Theoretical Physics. I saw their first release several times on the social networks and of course on their Kickstarter campaign launched in the end of 2018, and I always wondered about the quality of it. Now that I have it on my wrist I can say YES, this is a great timepiece…

In talk with Jacob Andra – SOMA Horology Marketplace

Interview
SOMA Horology Marketplace is the new exciting thing in the watch industry. For some people and some brands it was obvious to join this platform directly while some others are still thinking about it with the questions in the corner of their heads : “How does it work ? Have I to jump on it ?“… And at the end they say : “Why the hell I’m not already on it ?“ Today at Watchisthis we are glad to share with you an interview of Jacob Andra, one of the co-founders of this new platform. It’s quite long but believe me it’s worth the reading time ;-) [caption id="attachment_3676" align="aligncenter" width="632"] Left : Jacob Andra from SOMA - Right : Armand Billard from Sartory Billard Watches[/caption]   Watchisthis : As…

Jubileon is back with the Superellipse Chrono

Jubileon is back with the Superellipse Chrono

News
In september 2017 Jubileon launched their first Kickstarter campaign with the really cool Superellipse. This piece was really classic but with a nice design. You can find it HERE . Now the independent brand from Singapore is back with an evolution of their first watch. This one, that they just launched on Kickstarter (5 April), is a pretty cool chrono. To be honest I’m quite astonished by the level of quality of this piece. Not just by the design, which is really strong, but also by the whole… Including the movement. Because Yes, powering the Superellipse Chrono is the well known ETA 7750 Valjoux movement. You can find this movement in almost every chrono in the market, but rarely at the price of 799$. Armand Nicolet presents the M02 collection

News
Swiss brand Armand Nicolet just launched a new collection under the name of M02. This collection is separate in 3 lines : Date, Chronograph & Date and GMT. The original concept that years ago inspired the first version of this family hasn’t changed, but the Maison this time has focused particularly on comfort and ergonomics. In order to make the watch as comfortable as possible on a man’s wrist the diameter of the case has been reduced a little and time-telling is now easier thanks to a revisited dial where Arabic numbers are displayed alternatively to indexes. The date model is something really classical. It uses the SW-200 movement from Sellita and is priced around 1400 CHF. The most interesting thing about it is the guilloche dial that I find…

Scott is an artist usually associated with thought-provoking murals, addressing everything from environmental issues and same-sex-marriage, to the cult of celebrity. He is also becoming increasingly acclaimed for his fine art, particularly the interesting way he fuses traditional techniques and subject matter, with the spontaneity of raw graffiti. He has the reputation to be one of the most talented graffiti writers of his generation. And now, Marsh’s work is about to be celebrated in a bold new watch collection by home-grown horological company, Bausele. “I was looking to work with an Australian artist and as soon as I met Scott, I knew he was the one,” says Christophe Hoppe, the French-born, Swiss-raised-Sydneysider who founded Bausele…
